Can someone help me, I figured this was going to be straight forward, but something isn't working.
Step 1) Old Veeam on Server 2022, Upgraded to latest 12 build 12.3.1.1139 was still using MS SQL Express for Veeam DB server instance.
Step 2) Create Veeam Configuration backup.
Step 3) Install Windows 11 Pro, and Install Veeam 12.3.1.1139 with built in Postgres instead of MSSQL Express.
Step 4) Attach media, File -> Backup/restore -> Restore configuration -> enter password for config file -> Target DB engine PostgresSQL, Innstance localhost:5432, DatabaseName VeeamBackup, Auth Windows auth using credentials of service...
FAIL "SSPI authentication failed for user "Hostname\User"... Uhhh OK? What did I do wrong? i thought this was supported...

Re: Restore Veeam PostgresSQL

Are you serious?! So if the hostname changes, OR I create a New User account, grant the new account Admin rights, and delete the old account.. the new account won't have access to the postgres DB...
Just wow man... I can't stand tech these days so unstable...
*UPDATE* Option 2 in the KB above worked and the config restore continued, I don't blame Veeam for this it just seems to be a design of PostgresSQL. Which I'm not a fan of.
